Have you ever had a public USB charging port to charge your phone? The FBI warned people not to use public USB charging ports to charge their phones. Hackers can use these ports to install malicious software on your phone, which can steal your data and track your location. It’s better to bring your own charger on power bank to stay safe.

The FBI advises people to bring their own charger and use an electrical outlet instead of public USB ports. They also recommend not doing any important activities over public WiFi, updating your software, and having strong passwords for all your online accounts. To prevent juice jacking, you can select “Don’t Trust” on your iPhone or iPad when a prompt appears, or use a data blocker to stop data transfer through your cable.
