Apple is on the verge of releasing its very first premium podcast. That would really signal a good move toward exclusive content for the platform. The early access for this new product is due to come, the company announced, for those already subscribing to Apple TV+. My Divo is one of the types of dual-language podcasts showing Apple’s strategy, and it is due on the 1st of July.

The podcast is hosted by Maria Garcia, with its producers saying it will pay homage to the life story of Mexican singer Juan Gabriel. It also identifies several major themes: identity and heritage, voiced in both English and Spanish. All eight full episodes will be instantly made available to Apple TV+ subscribers on Apple Podcasts once subscription linkage goes through.

It simply mirrors a more general change in Apple’s podcast distribution model. These changes will also be applied to Apple TV+ podcasts in the works to further solidify its premium content experience. For those who do not have the subscription, though, a staggered rollout guarantees the first two episodes always launch, and others come on each week.
