Garmin has announced a new addition to its line of GPS smartwatches for professional athletes: the Enduro 3. This watch weighs a mere 63 grams compared to the weight of the Enduro 2 model. This provides an amazing display of battery life, with up to 320 hours in full GPS mode. Its extended solar charging boosts the user experience in ultra-long activities.

The rugged architecture in the Enduro 3 features a titanium bezel and sapphire glass. It is also fitted with a comfortable and durable nylon band. The screen contains an integrated LED flashlight that is adjustable in brightness, has a red light mode, and strobe. These make it very suitable for trail runners and outdoor enthusiasts.

Some of the advanced technologies that athletes will benefit from on the Enduro 3 include SatIQ for optimized GPS mode selection, VO2 max insights, grade-adjusted pace, and NextFork Map Guides. It also features dynamic round-trip routing and TopoActive maps to comprehensively keep one on course.

For those into strength training, the Enduro 3 has customizable planning modules and workouts for different sports. Health monitoring will also be quite extensive, as shall be attested by features like HRV status, Pulse Ox, and sleep tracking. An FDA-cleared ECG app further provides support for health and fitness insights.

It is now available on Garmin’s online store at US$899.99 (~RM3,888). For now, there is no word about its local availability.
