It has been a week since Vivo launches Vivo S1 in Malaysia. A few days ago, Vivo announces Vivo Z5 in China. It is Vivo’s next Z series is being launched in China. Before this, Vivo announces Z5x in China which mainly focuses on performance. We are expecting major improvements compared to the Vivo Z5x.
Talking about the display, Vivo Z5 comes with a 6.38″ Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a small notch at the top for the front selfie camera. Comparing to the previous Z5x which has a punch-hole display. Vivo also includes the in-display fingerprint scanner. This fingerprint scanner technology is able to unlock the Vivo Z5 easily within a split of seconds.
For the camera wise, the Vivo Z5 has a triple-camera setup. The main back camera comes with a 48MP sensor. The other two camera sensors are 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera sensor and the 2MP depth field sensor. Looking at the front side of the device is the same 32Mp selfie camera, which presents in the current Vivo S1.
Under the hood, the China tech company includes the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor. This is similar to the one present in the Z5x. However, this round, Vivo has removed the 4GB RAM model. The new Vivo Z5 comes in four variants with the new 8GB RAM. Apart from that, Vivo introduces the Z5 in three stylish colours which are Aurora Illusion (purple), Holographic Illusion (bluish-white), and Bamboo Forest Night (dark green).
Looking at the specs sheet, the Vivo Z5 has a smaller 4,500mAh battery compared to the Z5x. However, Vivo is adding its FlashCharge technology to the Vivo Z5. This means you can charge the device to 50% within 30 minutes. Last month, Vivo introduces its new Super FlashCharge technology which able to fully charge the device in 13 minutes. Seems Vivo is not including this support just yet.
