Chinese telecom giant Huawei has released its new smartwatch, the Huawei Watch D2 in Malaysia. The innovation of this smartwatch is that it establishes a new method of measuring blood pressure through your wrist. Indeed, the Huawei Watch D2 is 40 grams lighter than the company’s Watch D, making it 12% thinner.
The Huawei Watch D2 comes with a 1.82-inch AMOLED display and with up to 1500nits of peak brightness. This guarantees very high readability in any lighting conditions, be it, indoors or outdoors. Also, the integrated optical sensor employs a micro-pump mechanism as used in the common blood pressure monitor.
The Watch D2 has enhanced health monitoring features and is also designed by Huawei. It enables users to monitor the ECG, SpO2, heart rate, and stress levels. It also has Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) which captures blood pressure readings, including while the patient is asleep.
Huawei Watch D2 allows up to 6 days of battery life on a single charge under normal use. It recharges conveniently through the USB-C, which guarantees fast and regular charging.
The Watch D2 is selling at RM1,999 and comes in Black and Gold. Pre-orders are open till Oct 31 and the bundle package worth RM 1,276 includes Huawei Freebuds Pro 2 and other complementary accessories.
