Samsung introduced its Galaxy Watch series, revolutionizing the watch industry. Initially, the watches were aimed only at telling time. Now, Galaxy Watches boast several features that make life easier.

In 2013, Samsung introduced the Galaxy Gear. To an extent, it changed the concept of watches. This device allowed making calls and creating events with one’s friends, capturing moments was possible without a smartphone.

Evolving Features: Samsung Gear2 and Gear2 Neo

In 2014, Samsung released Gear2 and Gear2 Neo with improved battery life and management of health activities. It detected the heartbeats per minute and exercises done by a user in real-time.

The Gear S was launched in 2014, and this was the first smartwatch to have a curved Super AMOLED display. After that, the Gear S2 was launched in the year 2015 with a round display and rotated bezel, this proved to be an outstanding design revolution.

Gear S3 in the year 2016 smoothly merged grace and functionality. It possessed an Always On Display and gave a provision for GPS. Later, it brought out the Gear Sport which offered water resistance, thereby becoming useful for active users.

The Birth of Galaxy Watch

In 2018, Samsung renamed the line of wearables as Galaxy Watch. It brought about the tracking of stress and sleep. In 2019, it launched a version that focused more on fitness: the Galaxy Watch Active.

The series Galaxy Watch4, in 2021, introduced the BioActive Sensor. The Watch5 series, in 2022, added a temperature sensor. A new model with more advanced health monitoring is said to be launched in 2024 by Samsung.

Samsung never stops pioneering in the realm of smartwatches. It provides more and more health insight and personalized features with every new model. It goes without saying that with such a history of the Galaxy Watch, Samsung has always been very dedicated to innovation and user experience.
