Samsung finally unveils its first mid-range smartphone of 2020. That is none other than the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy Note 10 Lite. We have talked about the previous Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10. There surely are a few things Samsung had to sacrifice in order to make the S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite affordable. Here’s what Samsung has included for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite.
Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite
Despite being an affordable mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite features a large 6.7″ Full HD+ display. This is the Samsung newest Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O Display. But, the drawback here is the screen resolution which is 2400 x 1080. The original Samsung Galaxy S10 has a screen resolution of 3040 x 1440. At the top centre, you find the punch-hole which houses the selfie camera.
For the camera wise, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite comes with a triple-camera setup. Instead of having the 12MP dual-aperture as the main camera, the S10 Lite has a 48MP wide-camera, a 12MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP macro camera. Despite having a lower spec camera, Samsung promises that you can shoot better photo and video with its Super Steady OIS. The front has a higher 32MP selfie camera which is way better than the previous S10 front camera.
Under the hood, Samsung Galaxy S10 also features the Snapdragon 855 processor which can be mated with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM. The storage wise, Samsung includes 128GB of internal storage with additional storage of 1TB via a microSD card. Keeping the lights on is the juicy 4,500mAh battery. On top of that, you can also use the 25W fast charging adapter to charge your S10 Lite. However, Samsung didn’t mention about the wireless charging capability.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite
Coming to the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite, it features the similar 6.7″ Full HD+ display similar to the Galaxy S10 Lite. The Galaxy Note 10 Lite only comes with a flat display panel instead of a curved display panel which the Note 10 has it. The front camera placement is similar to the current Galaxy Note 10. It has both fingerprint authentication and the face recognition feature to unlock your phone.
Similar to the Galaxy S10 Lite, the Note 10 Lite also features a triple-camera setup. It has a 12MP wide camera, 12MP telephoto camera and 16MP ultra-wide camera. You can take selfies using the front 32MP selfie camera. Comparing with the Note 10, the rear camera is similar to the Note 10 Lite. However, the Note 10 only has a 10MP selfie camera which is a plus point for the Note 10 Lite.
The Galaxy Note 10 Lite also comes with an S Pen. However, there are sacrifices Samsung has to make which is removing the 6-axis sensor. This means you can’t really do the gesture control with the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite.
Powering this device is the 10nm Exynos 9810 processor. This is the similar processor which exist in the Galaxy Note 9. Similar to the S10 Lite it comes in two variant which is the 6GB and 8GB of RAM variant. This includes the internal storage of 128GB too with expansion via microSD card. Samsung is keeping the device to last longer with its 4,500mAh battery which is bundled with 25W Super fast charging feature. And you can’t expect the wireless charging feature for the Note 10 Lite.
In a nutshell, both Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Lite are the first mid-range smartphone from Samsung this year. As it said in its website, Samsung shows off the S10 Lite and Note 10 Lite during the CES 2020 in Las Vegas. According to the Samsung representative in Las Vegas, these phones are the lite flagship smartphones.
