Composers such as Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber uses music producing software to compose songs. Sometimes, this whole process will take at least a few days or weeks. OpenAI is launching a new online tool which will use AI to generate songs. This online tool can generate songs using 10 different instruments. So next time Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber can compose songs using the OpenAI’s MuseNet online tool.

Other than that, the AI is also able to play 15 different music styles by imitating classical composers such as Mozart or playing different genres of music such as hip hop or jazz. The AI uses a deep neural network technique from different range of MIDI files gathered from various sources. According to OpenAI researchers, the AI able to understand the melodies of the songs. This means the MuseNet is able to predict the next note in the sequence so that it forms a melodic tune.

In conclusion, the MuseNet could really replace the music producing technology. With the recent project of OpenAI Five, it defeats the world Dota 2 champions. Additionally, it was able to win more than 7215 matches with players worldwide. OpenAI MuseNet will be available for users to try it on May 12 onwards.
