The new strategy by Terengganu’s state government for organizing such a union was recently unveiled. The so-called dating app Jodoh Darul Iman funded by the state is in the development stage at the moment. This app was developed through a partnership between YPKT, a state-wide Terengganu Family Development Foundation, and Top IT Industries, a local state-owned firm.
As per the YPKT, the development of the app is currently at 98% of its completion. This means it could launch very soon, possibly offering a new means through which residents could communicate. With Terengganu residents in mind, Jodoh Darul Iman is intended to help people in the area find their soulmate.
In the dating app, each user will have basic fields where their information will be entered and displayed to the other. These are their name, age, gender, marital status, race, and religion of each of them. Similar to other dating application services, people can express interest using the “berminat” button.
It is unclear if the app will only be available to Terengganu residents alone or if it will be for other states as well. Whether a desktop version will be released remains unclear as well. Nonetheless, Jodoh Darul Iman guarantees a novel approach to selecting soulmates.
Terengganu’s government wants to make the process of seeking the perfect soulmate less complicated by providing the app for free.
