Huawei is now officially introducing the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design revolutionary foldable phone with triple screens. This ultra-innovative phone launched exclusively in China will have a price to make your wallet shake. The base model, with 256GB of storage, starts at 19,999 yuan. Despite the extremely high pricing, Vmall reported 3.7 million pre-orders before Huawei had even announced the pricing.

The Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design features an unprecedented inverse dual-hinge design, enabling folding in a “Z” shape to unlock multiple configurations of the phone. It acts much like a single-screen device with a 6.4-inch screen when it is fully collapsed. However, when opened up completely, the screen extends to 10.2 inches.

Besides the revolutionary design, the gadget is further armed with powerful hardware: the device comes fitted with 16GB of RAM and three storage options, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. The most expensive model, with 1TB of storage, costs 23,999 yuan, or about $3,370-a price more expensive than most laptops.

Huawei has also packed in impressive camera technology. For cameras, it features a triple-camera setup on the back with a 50-megapixel main camera. There is also a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens and a 12-megapixel periscope camera for zoom. The 8-megapixel front-facing selfie camera has been discreetly located on the left screen when unfolded.

Huawei Mate XT Ultimate Design is powered by a 5,600mAh battery, complete with support for fast charging. It supports 66W wired charging or 50W wirelessly, meaning it will last a long time and charge fast for such a large device.

Huawei has yet to confirm availability outside of China, but international demand for this uniquely designed phone is likely to be strong.
