Waze is one of the directions app where million of people uses daily. Most of the users uses it to report traffic jams, and accidents. The only problem with the app is it runs in background and drains most of your smartphone battery. Now, Google is borrowing the reporting incident feature from Waze into its Google Maps app.
Based on the tweet from 9to5Google, Google is adding the incident reporting feature in its latest version of the Android app to include traffic slowdown options. According to Google, from today onwards you will be able to report any traffic incidents such as accidents, police checkpoints, and speed cameras. At this moment, it is still not sure whether this feature is only available for Android users. iOS user might need to wait for sometime to get this feature as well.
In conclusion, next time when you are driving if you see any road incidents, you can immediately report it through the Google Maps. However, the traffic reporting feature is still not available for the other users to view.
