At Unpacked, the company launched the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6, with AI enhancements in several areas of its ecosystem. Not much in hardware changes, but it sparkles when it is about its AI capabilities.
Tools such as Note Assist for translations and summaries and PDF overlay, for translations of text within documents, are some of how Galaxy AI will enhance user experiences. Composer generates text for social media, while Live Translate makes multilingual conversations more seamless.
New AI-based features will create 3-D avatars in Portrait Studio and a more advanced version of its Interpreter mode for real-time translations across main and cover displays. Sketch-to-Image will transform any rough sketch into a photorealistic image.
The Z Fold 6 has larger AMOLED screens, with the cover display increased from 6.2 to 6.3 inches. It offers sharper visuals and quicker refresh rates of as fast as 120Hz. It gets bright, peaking at 2,600 nits, which makes it suitable against most lighting conditions.
The Fold 6 improves gaming with its 7.6-inch foldable screen and refresh rate of 120Hz. Large vapor chamber cooling and additional support for more graphics-intensive tasks, like ray tracing, boost it even higher.
Not much has changed on the camera front, at least. It still has a premium design available in three standard colors and two more exclusive ones. Durable and suave, it folds up into quite a compact form factor, which easily fits into a pocket for carrying.
It will be available in options such as Silver Shadow, Pink, Navy, and specially Crafted Black and White, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is priced starting at $1,899.99. The preorders are now open for the gadget-loving and busy professionals.
