The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card is restocked daily at 7 am. Each user can purchase only one Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card within 6 months. The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card costs RM10 and can be bought from the Lazada Online Store. You need to pay using the Touch ‘n Go Wallet. The Enhanced Touch ‘n Go card allows you to top up the physical card via the TNG eWallet app using your smartphone with NFC functionality. The TNG card top-up is done instantly in real-time and there are no additional charges.
Touch ‘n Go will increase its card production by 30% from 2.68 million cards in 2022 to 3.5 million cards in 2023. The new Enhanced TNG card will expire in 7 years versus the 10 years offered for the classic TNG card. The government has started opening up payment options to credit and debit cards for highway tolling and public transport. Selected highways will adopt an open payment system allowing credit and debit card acceptance by September 2023. Prasarana and KTM Berhad have been instructed to adopt an open payment system for trains and buses.
