With the increasing variety of foldable smartphones on the market, we might already be familiar with the design and how foldable devices operate. But, a foldable tablet might be a new concept for some.

Asus has unveiled the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, a huge touchscreen tablet that can be folded down to a 12.5-inch ‘laptop.’ Looking at the specs, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED is an Intel Evo-certified foldable laptop with two sizes of OLED display in a single device.
Furthermore, The 17.3-inch Zenbook 17 Fold OLED has a 2560 x 1920p OLED display with a 4:3 aspect ratio, but it can be folded in half to reveal two displays, each with a resolution of 1920 x 1280p and a 3:2 aspect ratio. The hinge supposedly withstood more than 30,000 opening and closing cycles. The panel itself can reach a brightness of 350 nits and boasts colour accuracy certified by Pantone that covers the entire DCI-P3 colour gamut and is supporting Dolby Vision.
Since it can be folded, users can utilise it in various modes, including a Desktop, Laptop (with ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard), Laptop (with virtual keyboard), Tablet, Reader, and Extended. Other than that, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED will be equipped with a 12th generation Intel Core i7-1250U processor, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD and Windows 11 Home out of the box. It is also built with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.
In addition, the device has two Thunderbolt 4 ports for connecting to external displays and charging the long-lasting 75 Wh battery quickly. Also included are WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a 5-megapixel camera with infrared functionality, a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos and Smart Amp.
By the year’s end, Malaysians will be able to purchase the Asus Zenbook 17 Fold OLED at a higher price of RM14,999. For more details, you can visit Asus’s official website
