Recently, there are several occasions where Apple Pay drops a few hints about its arrival in Malaysia. Well, Apple Pay has made another appearance today and it might be the biggest clue!
First spotted by a Twitter user @riisams, he posted a picture of an Apple Pay signage that says ‘Apple Pay accepted here’ in one of the Maxis centres in Selangor earlier this morning.
Similar to previous evidence of Apple Pay coming to Malaysia, there is no official statement from Apple, Shopee, or Ambank that clarifies the status of the feature or when will users get to utilize it.
Yesterday, it seems like Shopee Malaysia will also add Apple Pay as one of the payment methods on its e-commerce platform but again, users can’t really access it yet.
Looking at all these hints, we can only hope that Apple Pay might be available for real this time and it will come very soon.
