
After months of waiting, finally, Vivo Malaysia officially unveiled its latest in X series – X50 and X50 Pro today. The Vivo X50 series is the world’s first smartphone with a gimbal camera. You can start to pre-order the Vivo X50 series smartphone starting from 21 July till 24 July.
According to Vivo Malaysia, customers can place their pre-order requests for the Vivo X50 series in Malaysia at selected Vivo concept stores, authorised dealers, collaboration partners and e-commerce platforms such as Lazada, Shopee or Vivo store.
During the pre-order period, customers are entitled to complimentary gifts upon purchase of Vivo X50 which includes:
- 1-year extended warranty
- 1-year screen crack protection
- 1-unit Air Purifier

On top of that, customers who purchase the Vivo X50 Pro can easily top up RM99 to purchase the latest TWS Neo (worth RM359).
Alternatively, customers can also place their orders physically at Vivo X50 series exclusive roadshow at Ground Floor, Penang Queensbay Mall from today till 26 July 2020. Customers are entitled to complimentary gifts upon purchase of Vivo X50 series with details below:

Vivo X50 Specifications
To recap on the specs, the both the Vivo X50 and Vivo X50 Pro features a 6.56″ 90Hz AMOLED display. At the top left, it has a punch hole which houses the front selfie camera. The rear it comes with an array of four cameras which are 48MP main camera, 13MP portrait camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera and 5MP macro camera. The front has a 32MP selfie camera.

Under the hood, the X50 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor. For the storage wise, the Vivo X50 comes with a single option which is an 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Talking about the battery, the Vivo X50 comes with a 4,200mAh battery which supports Vivo 33W flash charge via USB-C.
Vivo X50 Pro Specifications
What makes the Vivo X50 Pro different than the Vivo X50 is the camera systems. The Vivo X50 Pro features a quad camera setup too. To reduce shaking, the main camera of X50 Pro is equipped with an industry-leading Gimbal Camera System, allowing users to take clear photos and videos while in motion, even at night. Modelled after a full-size professional gimbal, X50 Pro’s built-in miniature gimbal module moves in the opposite direction of shaking motions, providing increased stability for the main camera.
This system also widens the rotation angle and anti-shake area compared to popular stabilization methods, resulting in super clear images. The Gimbal Radar, an on-screen animated ball that reflects the gimbal’s movement, lets users know when the frame is stable. Vivo’s motion-deblur algorithm, customized sensors, and continuous focus tracking further enhance the image and video clarity.

The X50 Pro has a versatile camera setup with one 32MP front camera and four cameras on the rear (48MP Main, 8MP Super Wide-Angle, 13MP Professional Portrait, and 8MP 5x Telescopic). X50 Pro’s 5x Telescopic lens also supports 60x Hyper Zoom, leading to photos of breathtaking detail.
X50 and X50 Pro feature Extreme Night Vision (Super Night Mode) and Starry Sky Mode which together enable users to capture stunning photographs of both city and country scenes at night, while 120° Super Wide-Angle (108° after distortion correction) and Super Macro functions help create professional-quality photos in a wide range of scenarios. Vivo’s Portrait Mode, powered by a 4-layer masking algorithm, allows users to separate the subject from the background and apply separate effects for a more refined result.
Under the hood, the Vivo X50 Pro also run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865G too similar to the Vivo X50. However, the storage wise, Vivo has increased the internal storage from 128GB to 256GB. For the RAM wise, the Pro model still remains with 8GB memory. Keeping the lights on, is a 4,315mAh battery which supports the 33W Vivo flash charge via USB-C too.
Pricing and Availability
