Xiaomi recently launched a selection of devices in China, including the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4, a new version of its Pad 5 series tablet. The notable difference between this new model and the previous Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro is its larger size.
To start, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset paired with either 6 or 8GB of RAM. On the software front, you’ll find MIUI 13, which is based on Android 12. Moreover, the tablet is packed with a 1000mAh battery that lasts “2.13” days, as claimed by Xiaomi. It also supports 67W fast charging, which can charge the battery completely in 68 minutes.
The screen comes with a P3 colour gamut, Dolby Vision, HDR10, and a peak brightness of 500 nits. The bezels are also slimmer than on the other Pad 5 models and its sampling rate has been reduced to 120Hz. The dimensions of the tablet are 248.96mm x 185.23mm x 6.66mm.
In terms of cameras, the tablet has the familiar 50MP sensor and a 2MP depth sensor at its rear. The tablet featured a 20MP camera on the front.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 12.4″ comes in three configurations:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – CNY2799 (RM1780).
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage- CNY3299 (RM2175)
- 12GB RAM + 521GB storage – CNY3999 (RM2637)
However, at the moment, the device is only available in China and there is no confirmation of its launch in Malaysia or other countries yet. We can expect it to come soon.
