With many tech giants beginning to produce more foldable smartphones, it is not a surprise when Xiaomi decides to enter the race as well. The company recently announced that a new foldable phone known as Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is on the way. The device will be unveiled tomorrow, 11 August 2022 at 7 PM via Livestream.
The company shared a teaser poster for the phone on Weibo, showing what appears to be the phone’s metallic hinge. The poster doesn’t really provide us with many details, but it is reported that Mix Fold 2 will benefit from Xiaomi’s recent collaboration with Leica.
The new foldable phone is expected to be equipped with a cover display of 6.5 inches and an 8-inch folding screen. Leaks suggested that both screens may improve on the original Mix Fold’s 60Hz refresh rate and increase it to 120Hz.
