Twitter rolls out the Dark Mode feature for iOS

Twitter is joining the Dark Mode party too today. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, delivers the new battery saving dark mode feature as promise. Today, Twitter has tweeted the announcement on its official Twitter account. At this moment, this feature is only available for the iOS app.

Most of the smartphone is now equipped with an OLED screen. Researchers believe, applying the black background to applications will help to extend the battery life. Through the Dark Mode feature, the OLED panel will only light up the region which is not black. This causes a huge amount of energy to be saved. Moreover, enabling this feature for applications will reduce eye strain for the user under the low light situation.

In conclusion, soon we can see all the mobile phone apps and browsers would be having the Dark Mode feature.
