Recent leaks indicate that Huawei is getting close to launching a tri-folding phone. Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station earlier revealed that Huawei would come up first with the device, saying he had seen a prototype of the innovative phone.
An image of a similar device leaked now, though from someone on Weibo, in the hands of Richard Yuโnow chairman of the board for the consumer business group, formerly CEO. The image is not from him himself but from another person on Weibo, it perfectly fits the previous leaks of the tri-fold phone.
It shows a large device, perhaps bigger than the initially leaked 10-inch unfolded screen. The reflections inside the device show two creases, which is consistent with the form factor rumors. The left-most segment includes a punch-hole cutout for the front camera.
The leakster also mentions that this tri-folding phone will be powered by a Kirin 9-series chip while coming to the market before the Huawei Mate 70, which itself is rumored for a Q4 release this year.
The tri-folding phone would redefine foldable. While Huawei gears up for the launch, tech enthusiasts are on their toes to get more updates.
