Recently, Touch ‘n Go (TNG) Group and Shell Malaysia announced plans to expand the use of new cashless radio-frequency identification (RFID) solutions to 50% of Shell stations in Peninsular Malaysia within three years. They also predict that by the end of the year, 200 Shell stations nationwide will be equipped with the RFID fuel solutions.

TNG Group CEO Effendy Shahul Hamid stated that the solutions are currently available at 88 Shell stations across the country.
You can now make contactless payments at Shell stations with an app on your smartphones or engage with the point-of-sale system as payment is made via TNG RFID. Seow Lee Ming, Shell’s general manager mobility for Malaysia and Singapore, added that each Shell station currently has only two TNG RFID bays.
However, she also explains that โif the adoption rate is high, as well as the demand and traffic flow are good, we will have RFID solutions extensions at all bays in our stations.โ
For your information, you will need a TNG RFID linked to your TNG eWallet account in order to use TNG RFID at Shell fuel stations. Then, all you need to do is simply park your vehicles in RFID-designated fueling bays. Your vehicles will be detected in seconds, and payment will be deducted automatically from your TNG eWallets.
