There was a day where we used to have huge cameras to snap photos. Now those days are no more since the introduction of smartphones. Rather than buying an RM2,000 to RM4,000 camera, people nowadays prefer to buy a smartphone with the same price. Now, we receive an update from Redmi that it will be introducing 64MP main camera for its next smartphone.

At this moment, we still unclear about the exact details of its next smartphone. Redmi has officially posted a sample photo taken from the device in its official Weibo account. Some claims, this could be Redmi Note 8 as last year Redmi introduces Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 6 Pro.

From the sample photo above, we are able to view the details are super sharp and clear without any noise. The supplier for this image sensor is from Samsung as it has the highest resolution in the industry. To compete with Redmi, Realme will be using the same 64MP camera sensor for its upcoming smartphone. One of the prolific leakster Ice Universe, says the 64MP sensor is Samsung’s new ISOCELL GW1 CMOS mobile image sensor.

In conclusion, Realme and Redmi could possibly be the world’s first smartphone to feature a 64MP camera sensor. As for now, there aren’t any details on the upcoming device hardware specifications. We will keep you guys posted once the hardware details are revealed.
