Due to the global pandemic COVID-19 outbreak, Malaysia government have initiated lockdown nationwide last March 2020. As we all know, the month of Ramadan is just around the corner, many of the muslims and non-muslim will be ready to try varieties of foods. However, due to the Movement Control Order (MCO), the government announces that Ramadhan Bazaars will not be allowed.
Well, it looks like the government decision is not stopping for Penangites to continue having the Ramadhan Bazaars. Thankfully, if you are a Penangite, then you can continue buying your favorite foods during this period. Good news to Penang local sellers and hawkers, the Penang local council will be launching its own Jom Beli Online (JBO) platform.
Using this JBO platform, Penang sellers can continue doing their food business online. Both the full-time sellers and part-time sellers, can continue staying at home and continue to prepare foods for evening. Then there will be a service where the delivery guy will pick up all the orders from the sellers home and deliver it to the customers.
According to the Penang Island City Council, their main delivering partner would be DeliverEat. DeliverEat is one of the most famous food delivering service which is based in Penang. With the JBO platform, even other delivery partners also could collaborate with the Penang local council. However, Grab has decline to join the JBO platform during this upcoming Ramadhan period.
In a nutshell, if you are one of the sellers from Penang reading this post and you wished to join the JBO platform, you can mail it from here. And the arrangement can be done accordingly.
