Meta AI’s New ‘Imagine Me’ Tool and Language Capabilities

Meta introduces updates to its AI assistant with a new feature, Imagine Me, which will enhance its geolocation, language, and art-handling capabilities. The AI can communicate in seven new languages, which were earlier missing from Meta AI. The update will be able to engage with Meta AI users across 22 countries and from multiple devices. Meta AI is available for WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook.

This AI will also appear in Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and Meta Quest headsets. Meta states this will make it easy for users in a consistent experience regardless of where they are, with an AI assistant at the service of users. The new availability only increases user engagement depending on Meta AI.

Introducing “Imagine Me” Tool

Meta AI has introduced a novel image creation technology it calls “Imagine Me.” This new tool takes an uploaded image and creates a digital avatar. Apart from simply creating a digital avatar of oneself, the feature allows users to create fantasy-like images of themselves. One only needs to type “Imagine me” and then proceed to make settings.

The “Imagine Me” tool has also integrated functionalities for editing. Follow-up prompts are sent so that images can be edited accordingly, hence providing much more flexibility and creativity. The art it does can also be shared on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp.

Meta has been running tests on the “Imagine Me” feature on WhatsApp. It will now be present for use across all Meta platforms. This is to onboard subscribers from other competitive artificial intelligence service providers. The new suite of tools set Meta AI apart from its competitors, such as OpenAI and Google Gemini.

The update will bring an advanced AI model, Llama 405B, to the assistant. This will, however, first be available on WhatsApp and meta.ai. It enhances Meta AI for the better handling of sophisticated questions. However, the real highlight of the expansion is the new feature “Imagine Me.”.
