Maxis has announced a first-of-its-kind, cloud-based GPU-aaS for Malaysian businesses. This is among the latest additions to Maxis Business’ suite of cloud and managed services. It lets these enterprises tap into the power of powerful graphics processing units for advanced artificial intelligence applications. The upcoming GPUaaS would provide access to businesses for GPU purposes of AI training and inference tasks.
The Maxis GPU-aaS solution would be an economical solution. This would help in reaping the enterprise benefits of deploying high-performance capabilities without heavy investment in GPU hardware. Furthermore, businesses would not need to manage such complex infrastructure, which would free them up to work out their core operations and reduce overheads.
First off, the Maxis GPUaaS will leverage Nvidia H100 Tensor Core GPU clusters. This innovative technology promises unmatched scalable computing at will. In turn, businesses that have the Nvidia H100 will be empowered to accelerate the development of things such as Generative AI and large language models. It is most beneficial to industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, and also logistics.
Besides this, the GPU-aaS of Maxis will be interconnected with the regional GPUaaS offering of Singtel through the Bridge Alliance. This agreement would allow Maxis to leverage the infrastructure of Singtel for cloud-based services. Other early adopters of the GPUaaS through this alliance include Thailand’s AIS and Indonesia’s Telkomsel.
