Apple recently updated the AirPods Max, changing them in terms of USB-C and new colors but that is it. From this perspective, it’s high time for an upgrade such as USB-C with the AirPods Max. Yet Apple did not do anything else with them and that seems very unwise or completely inexplicable. This is rather unusual when there is so much pressure expected over updates.
When they first came out in 2020 the AirPods Max were at the top of their class. They sounded good with perfectly excellent sound insulation. Since then however other brands such as Sony and Bose have increased the stakes when it comes to the production of premium headphones. None of that receiving any attention with this update which can be important.
The Lack of Major Upgrades Raises Questions
People have AirPods Max on anywhere you can’t fail to notice that they are trendy. It doesn’t report sales, but its base is loyal. The plethora of accessories we see for the AirPods Max goes a long way in showing us how well they sell on TikTok.
However, it is noteworthy that the lack of significant updates produces questions. Apple can be fixated on Beats or the EU regulation on USB-C ports. This decision could have been made based on an inference that the initial design of the aircraft was almost flawless.
Though this is quite reasonable and sounds quite good, there is no 3. 5mm jack is a disadvantage The use of a 3. 5mm jack aster remains a disadvantage. Apple has also not done anything in terms of other features such as the much-praised yet unfunctional power-saving mode. It also means that they DO NOT have other features that make the AirPods Pro a better choice such as the H2 chip. However, in the year 2024, the $549 AirPods Max USB C upgrade looks quite uninspiring and given the fact that a lot of shifting is happening in this space, Apple might have to up the ante.
