Previously, all of us are expecting Huawei to name its operating system as Hongmeng OS. Then, a few weeks ago Huawei spokesperson confirms Hongmeng is not the replacement for Google’s Android operating system. Now, China’s Global Times reveals that Huawei might be revealing Hongmeng OS at its developer conference.
Huawei will be holding its annual developer conference this week Friday on the August 9 in Dongguan, China. As we said previously, Hongmeng OS is mainly focused on IoT devices. This means we are expecting the Hongmeng OS to be lightweight. According to Reuters, Huawei will be using Hongmeng OS for its Honor smart TV.
The China news company, says that Huawei is developing Hongmeng OS for a smartphone which very likely to debut later this year. Moreover, it is claimed that Huawei will be unveiling the Hongmeng OS smartphone alongside with the Huawei Mate 30 Pro which could be unveiled later this year. For now, the Hongmeng OS is being tested by the team.
