Apple is adding Apple Intelligence features to the iOS 18.1 developer beta. These are restricted to the U.S. English language setting and region, and Apple further restricts them to the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and M1-powered devices. Users need to join a waitlist in the Settings app, and then they can start using Apple Intelligence features once their request is accepted.
There are many helpful features under Apple Intelligence. Siri comes with new animations, it stutters on words, too. You can now also ask Siri the system-related questions. New writing tools allow formatting of text or grammar and even change the tone of it. The mail app gives email summaries, and the messages it deems important are brought to the top. Photos are searchable now with Natural Language queries.
In addition, the call transcription can be created now by tapping once. Yes, all is saved in the Notes app. Moreover, recording and transcribing audio in the Notes app are also possible. Apple Intelligence auto-summarizes audio notes, which makes it easier for users to get a fast heads-up with the essential information.
Some of the expected features are still missing, including photo object removal, emoji interactions, and ChatGPT capabilities. No release timeline has been announced. It might take a little while and wait for further updates.
