Xiaomi introduced its new tablets in Malaysia, which the company has named the Redmi Pad SE 8.7, available in a Wi-Fi version and a 4G one. The tablet comes in Graphite Grey, Aurora Green, and Sky Blue as color options.
The Redmi Pad SE 8.7 costs starting from RM599, which begets the 128GB+6GB model. It clocks in at RM599 for the 64GB+4GB order of the 4G variant and RM699 for the 128GB+6GB version. The tablets are already available for purchase online or through Xiaomi’s authorized stores.
They are offered a free cover valued at RM149 under an early bird promotion valid until September 1, 2024, and special discounts on selected models, valid while stocks last. The tablets have an HD+ 8.7-inch screen with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of brightness.
Labeled the Pad SE 8.7, the hardware chipset working under its hood is a MediaTek Helio G85, and it comes with up to 128GB of storage along with support for expandable storage of up to 2TB through a microSD card. Both come with a 6,650mAh battery and 18W fast charging support.
The tablets run Xiaomi’s HyperOS, based on Android 14. They also have dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and cameras for photography. All these in a neat, pocket-friendly package make the Redmi Pad SE 8.7 an exciting prospect in Malaysia for budget-conscious consumers.
