Google finally rolls out Android 10 to the world. However, Android 10 is available for Pixel devices only. There are tons of new features, you can explore with Android 10. According to Google, other brand smartphones will soon get the Android 10 before the end of 2019. Now, let’s see some of interesting features.

Android 10: Simpler and Smarter

There are many interesting features such as the Dark Theme, Smart Reply, gesture navigation and Live Caption. First of all, with the new Dark Theme feature, you can make your entire phone dark. This is almost similar to Apple’s upcoming iOS 13 which makes the entire phone dark. Not only that, but Google is also allowing its dark mode for a specific app such as Photos and Calendar. With this feature, Google says it will be easier for your eyes and for your phone battery too.

The second feature is the gesture navigation which was preview back in May during Google I/O. Gesture navigation is mainly for devices with a larger screen and edge-to-edge displays. This feature has already existed in iPhone X where you can swipe easily. The same you can do now where now with few simple swipes you can go backwards, pull up the home screen and fluidly move between tasks.

The third feature is the Smart Reply which now able to suggest actions. Next time when someone sends you a message with the link of a YouTube video, you can immediately open the video in YouTube. You don’t have to copy or pasting the link. Google is rolling out the Smart Reply feature to all messaging app including WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger.

Besides that, Google will be rolling out the Live Caption feature by end of the year. This feature captions any videos and audios. This including podcasts as well. Pixel devices will be the first on to get this feature once Google makes it available at the end of the year.

In a nutshell, this is the first Android update which doesn’t have a dessert name. We are expecting other smartphones to get this update by the end of this year. If you own a Pixel device, you can go to your Settings page to check for Android 10 update. For more information visit the Android 10 official page.
