Reading Time: 2 minutes read

EVLOMO, the EV charging station contractor in Thailand has joined forces with global technology leader Siemens to create one of Southeast Asia’s largest, most technologically advanced, and future-ready electric vehicle (EV) charging networks.

Siemens will provide its high-technology electric vehicle (EV) charging systems and related services to EVLOMO under the multi-year E-Mobility Strategic Collaboration Agreement. Moreover, the partners intend to implement over 100 DC Fast Chargers across Thailand by 2023, with the possibility of expanding to 200 DC Fast Chargers. In addition to facilitating maintenance and maximum uptimes of the charging infrastructure, they will also enable training and skill development.

Siemens’ complete line of electric vehicle (EV) chargers and related digital offerings for charging infrastructure will be made available through this partnership. Components of the portfolio include SiCharge D. the SiCharge D is a high-power, versatile, DC fast charging technology. It can charge up to five vehicles at once and features a modular design that makes it easy to expand to meet future needs. You can expect up to 322 kW from it

One of the reasons Siemens was chosen for this collaboration is because the company is committed to proactively leading and shaping the future of e-mobility by improving and expanding charging solutions and driving technology. This would align well with the direction that EVLOMO is currently venturing into, which is to speed things up for eMobility adoption and provide reliable charging for EV drivers.

There are two main obstacles to extending EV adoption which includes charging infrastructure availability and speed of charging. Together, Siemens and EVLOMO will tackle these issues by EVLOMOโ€™s goal to build Southeast Asia’s largest EV charging network, combined with Siemen’s charging technology including SiCharge D.

CEO of EVLOMO Nicole Wu said that this collaboration will help to accelerate the deployment of charging infrastructure as the world moves toward zero-emission vehicles.
